ENROLLMENT

Desert Sky Community School is a charter school inspired by Waldorf education. We strongly encourage all families interested in our school to learn about Rudolf Steiner's philosophy of child development and the Waldorf teaching methodology. We recommend the following books and websites:

If you would like to learn more about Desert Sky Community School please join us for a Tour. Tours are scheduled for adults on Thursday mornings. There will be opportunity later for your child to meet the teacher and experience the classroom. Please call the office at (520) 745-3888 to schedule a tour.

Tours are open to the general public. On the Tour, you will learn about the curriculum and teaching methods, see the campus and classrooms, and have the opportunity to ask questions! Please check in at the school office when you arrive for the Tour. For directions and a map Please click here.

An Enrollment form is available at the tour or download here. When your Enrollment form has been received at the office, you will be invited to a Registration meeting to review school policies, complete paperwork, and pay a $20 payment toward the annual activity fee of $200. The Parent Handbook is available by clicking on the Handbook link near the end of this page; please bring questions to either your Tour or Registration meeting or email questions to Enrollment@desertskyschool.org.

Current families, including siblings of current students, are given priority enrollment in January.

Open Enrollment for the upcoming school year, occurs every February. All registration forms received during Open Enrollment will be part of the Open Enrollment lottery.
All enrollment forms received after Open Enrollment will be placed in the order they were received, and students admitted until spaces are filled. Once spaces are filled, all additional forms received will be placed on a waiting list by grade level. You will be contacted when a seat is available.
