Desert Sky Community School is a tuition free public charter school guided by the core principles of Waldorf education. We strongly encourage all families interested in our school to learn about Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy of child development and the Waldorf teaching methodology. If you would like to learn more about Desert Sky Community School please come visit us! Tours are scheduled for adults on Thursday mornings. There will be opportunity later for your child to meet the teacher and experience the classroom.
During your visit, you will learn about the curriculum and teaching methods, see the campus, and have the opportunity to ask questions.

Open Enrollment for the upcoming year is January 15th. Please submit your enrollment packet by end of day on January 15th to participate in open enrollment. If there are more applicants than we have seats available, there will be a lottery to select the students to be enrolled. After January 15th, all enrollment forms will be placed in the order they were received, and students will be admitted until spaces are filled. Once spaces are filled, all remaining applicants will be placed on a waiting list by grade level.
You will be contacted within two weeks of submitting a complete enrollment packet, whether your student is enrolled or on the waiting list.

HOW TO SUBMIT AN ENROLLMENT PACKET
A completed enrollment packet includes your student’s birth certificate, current immunization records, proof of residency, and $20 fee.
To be valid, the enrollment form must be signed at the bottom by a parent or legal guardian. The completed packet may be brought to the Front Office between 8am and 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, during the school year. The Records Clerk will make photocopies as needed.

or by snail-mail to Desert Sky Community School, 1350 N Arcadia Ave, Tucson, AZ 85712. Please do not send your original birth certificate and immunizations.
The $20 fee may be paid in person or by mail with your submission.
The $20 fee may be paid by credit card through PayPal at our website. Be sure to add note to the payment that it is an ‘enrollment fee’ and include your student’s name. Your enrollment packet will be valid when the fee is received.
