Employment Opportunities at Arcadia Sky Community School
We are seeking passionate and experienced elementary-level teachers to join our teaching staff. Prior training and knowledge of Waldorf Education are preferred. Regardless of experience, our expectation is that staff members will continue to attend professional development opportunities to deepen their understanding of Public Waldorf Education. Required training may occur throughout the year including in June and July before school begins. Candidates must have the ability to meet state requirements for teaching grades 1 through 5 in a charter school. All positions for hire require an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Department of Public Safety. It can take DPS up to 8 weeks to process a new application. Please apply for a Fingerprint Clearance Card on the Arizona Department of Public Safety if you do not have a current IVP card. Our teaching staff includes both full-time and part-time positions. Prior training or experience in elementary grades is preferred.

Position Details
Our special education teacher is responsible for providing a holistic and engaging education to our students. The ideal applicant has excellent communication skills, rich teaching experience, and finds joy in creative problem-solving and collaborative work. We need a teacher for the upcoming year who can work well with students with various needs in small groups.
Responsibilities Include
- Plan, develop, and implement lesson plans for a combined class of students.
- Deliver instruction using Waldorf-inspired teaching methods and techniques.
- Create a nurturing and supportive classroom environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and personal growth.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for academic and personal growth.
- Practice Conscious Discipline strategies as part of supporting students’ emotional, mental, and physical well-being.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate events and activities.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
