We strive to create an educational environment that empowers children to learn through creative, whole child -focused experiences. Art and music are taught at all grade levels, outdoor play is emphasized, and our developmentally appropriate academic instruction supports children’s creativity and imagination while articulating and meeting state academic standards. Our school offers a safe, nurturing space where children grow not just academically but as whole persons, with a strong sense of self, sense of place, and a vibrant, caring community providing the foundation for their drive and desire to learn.

“Accept the children with reverence, educate them with love, and send them forth in freedom.”
Rudolf Steiner
Our Values
Community
The healthy social life is found when in the mirror of each human soul the whole community finds its reflection and when in the community the virtue of each one is living.
– Rudolf Steiner
Community is a central value that extends beyond the walls of our school: it is how we feel and act toward one another.

Arcadia Sky Community School shares a value of connection as a school community, and connection to the larger community of friends, neighbors and colleagues. We value the family attention to children which is evident to teachers. We also value the inner growth of all of the members of our community: students, parents, teachers and volunteers. Shared responsibility, especially among faculty, board members, and parent council members, allow decisions to be made in collaboratively with calm and equanimity.
Sustainability
At Arcadia Sky Community School, we nurture a social environment that increases awareness around practices that support a future where all living things share in a world of abundance.
